Rewrite the description, title first
Start with what your Poshmark title said (brand, item, size, color), then the details, within 1,000 characters and at most 5 hashtags.
Pick the category and size
Department, category and type, then the size from the list Depop shows for that type.
Condition, brand and colors
Use the table above, add the brand and up to 2 of Depop’s colors.
Add Depop’s browse tags
Source (up to 2), Age (1) and Style (up to 3, such as Streetwear, Sportswear, Loungewear). Your Poshmark style tags are a starting point, but Depop only takes its own list.
Choose the package size and price
Depop prices its label by package size, from Extra extra small (under 4 oz) to Extra large (under 10 lb). Pick the smallest your packed item fits.
When it sells, end the other listing
As soon as it sells on Poshmark or Depop, end or delete the listing on the other store, so a second buyer can’t pay for an item you no longer have.
Watch out
What trips people up
- Poshmark’s description holds 1,500 characters; Depop’s holds 1,000, hashtags included.
- Poshmark’s Original Price has no Depop field.
- Depop’s Boost is optional and costs 12% only if the item sells.
- Depop’s colors include Navy, Burgundy and Khaki, which Poshmark’s 15 don’t, so recheck the color rather than copying it.
