Crosslist from eBay to Poshmark
Poshmark is built around fashion and home, with a flat shipping label the buyer pays for. Moving an eBay listing there is mostly about fitting it into Poshmark’s departments, size sets and four condition words, and trimming what Poshmark doesn’t ask for.

These are eBay’s clothing conditions. Poshmark has no Poor any more: Fair (“Clearly used with visible wear”) is its most-worn choice, so an item eBay would call “For parts or not working” doesn’t fit Poshmark.

- eBay: In most categories, 13.6% of the total sale (item, shipping the buyer pays and sales tax) plus $0.40 per order ($0.30 on orders of $10 or less). eBay fee calculator

On a $40 sale with no shipping or sales tax charged to the buyer, eBay takes $5.84 (you keep $34.16) and Poshmark takes $8.00 (you keep $32.00), before any shipping you pay. Fees checked .

Check it belongs on Poshmark
Poshmark’s departments are Women, Men, Kids, Home, Pets and Electronics. An item outside them won’t have a category.
Pick 16 photos
eBay allows 24; Poshmark takes 16 and one video. Put your clearest front photo first, since it’s the cover.
Trim the description
Poshmark’s description holds 1,500 characters. eBay’s item specifics don’t carry over, so move the ones that matter (material, measurements, flaws) into the description.
Pick the category and size
Department, category and an optional subcategory, then the size from Poshmark’s size set for it: Standard, Plus, Petite and so on.
Condition, brand, colors and style tags
Use the table above, type the brand, pick up to 2 colors and add up to 3 style tags.
Price it
Poshmark is fixed price: buyers can send offers, but there are no auctions. Add an Original Price if you know it, and decide on a shipping discount.
When it sells, end the other listing
As soon as it sells on eBay or Poshmark, end or delete the listing on the other store, so a second buyer can’t pay for an item you no longer have.
Watch out
What trips people up
- The buyer pays Poshmark’s flat $6.49 shipping, so your eBay shipping settings don’t carry over. A bundle over 5 lb costs you the overweight shipping.
- eBay’s condition notes have no Poshmark box. Poshmark’s Good and Fair ask you to note the wear “in description or photos”.
- Poshmark’s 20% from $15 is more than eBay takes in most categories, so check the numbers below before matching your eBay price.
